From 7 April 2025, the MOMEM is dedicating an exhibition to the band

Tangerine Dream: Time lapse

which sheds light on their 58-year history. Founded in 1967 in West Berlin, the band remained active even after the death of its founder Edgar Froese in 2015.

Tangerine Dream released over 160 albums, from Electronic Meditation (1970) to Raum and Sessions with the current line-up. Virgin Records signed them in 1973. Phaedra was their first purely electronic album and marked the beginning of a productive phase with works such as Rubycon and Force Majeure.

They also composed film music, including for Tatort. The exhibition shows documents, photos, original instruments and rare recordings. It is based on a presentation at the Barbican Centre in London (2020) and has been expanded for the MOMEM.

A supporting programme with readings, lectures and films is planned.

____________

30 years NATURE ONE - Takeover in the MOMEM
29.07. - 24.08.2025

The legendary open-air festival NATURE ONE turns 30 - and that MOMEM celebrates with us!

For the anniversary NATURE ONE the Museum of Modern Electronic Music:
In a special takeover, the exhibition Milestones.
