Exhibition opening
Tangerine Dream are not only regarded as one of the most internationally influential German bands of all time, but also as probably the most productive pioneers and trailblazers of electronic music - especially the ambient and trance genres.
From 7 April, MOMEM will be honouring the extraordinary and eventful history of the band, which began in West Berlin in 1967 and by no means ended with the death of its founder Edgar Froese in 2015, with the exhibition Tangerine Dream: Time Lapse, which is being shown in Germany for the first time. Because, Froese is convinced: "There is no death, only the cosmic address changes."
Family members and band members are expected to attend the grand opening on 6 April 2025 at 7 pm at MOMEM. On 7 April 2025, Tangerine Dream will play a concert at the Alte Oper to mark the 10th anniversary of Edgar Froese's death.
Concert ticket holders receive reduced admission to the MOMEM.
An extensive accompanying programme to the exhibition "Tangerine Dream: Time Lapse" is being planned - with readings, lectures, film screenings and discussions.
And: The MOMEM opens exceptionally on Monday, 7 April!
For visitors to the Tangerine Dream concert in Frankfurt's Alte Oper on 7 April 2025, the reduced admission price applies on presentation of the concert ticket.
